How to use the Tesla browser in full screen

1. The fullscreen-button trick

Most modern streaming apps render their own native fullscreen button (⛶ in Netflix, ⤢ in YouTube). The Tesla browser respects the standard Fullscreen API: when a video element enters fullscreen, the browser chrome (address bar, tabs, back button) disappears around it.

1. Park and shift into Park — the browser only runs while stationary.
2. Open Browser from the app launcher.
3. Visit teslup.eu and tap a streaming tile.
4. Start playback and tap the player's ⛶ / ⤢ icon.

2. The redirect ("theatre mode") workaround

For sites that don't expose a fullscreen button — news sites, web apps, simple HTML pages — the workaround is to open them through a launcher that sets the right viewport flags. Teslup.eu does this for you: every streaming and news tile opens the target in a new window with viewport-fit=cover and display=standalone, which tells the Tesla browser to collapse the address bar on the first scroll.

If you want to do it manually: bookmark the page, then re-open it via the bookmark — the Tesla browser tends to keep the collapsed chrome state for bookmark-opened tabs across visits.

Things that won't work

• F11 / keyboard shortcuts — the Tesla browser has no keyboard support.
• Driving while playing video — playback pauses as soon as you shift out of Park.
• Background audio — switching apps stops the browser.
